Resolution wmploying J.D. Blackwell, consulting engineer, in
connection with the proposed municipal water supply system author—
ized in the special election of August 9, 1927.
Whereas, the council of the Town of Tukwila has been authorized
by the special election of August 9, 1927, to proceed with the
construction of a water supply system, and
Whereas, it is necessary to employ a competent engineer for the
purpose of advising and assisting in the designing of a proper
water supply system, and of supervising the construction of
such water supply system,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE T0\N OF
TUKWILA
1. That J. D. Blackwell, consulting engineer, Lumber Exchange
Building, Seattle, Washington, be and is hereby employed in the
capacity of engineer in the proposed water supply system of the
Town of Tukwila.
2. That in consideration of three and one half (3) perceht, of
the total cost of construction of the water system (total esti—
mated cost $35,000) 000) he does agree:
a. to act, as consulting engineer in connection with
the proposed water system.
b. to prepare and furnish at his own cost and expense
the plans and specifications for the work and to
exercise general engineering supervision over
same as it progresses.
3. That the Town of Tukwila agrees to provide and pay for, sub
ject to the orders of the aforesaid engineer, an inspector
who is to be on thw work at all times during actual construction.
Passed by the conncil of the Town of Tukwila this 8th.day of
September, 1927.
