HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0047 - Public Hearing on LID #1 (Local Improvement District) Assessment RollRESOLUTION NO. 47 A RESOLUTION fixing the time and place for hearing on the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No,. 1, under Ordinance No. 121, of the Town of Tukwila. WHEREAS, the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 1, under Ordinance No. 121, of the Town of Tuk- wila, King County, Washington, prepared as provided by law, was filed on October 14, 1929, with the Town Clerk of said Town; and .WHEREAS, the law provides that upon the filing of such assessment roll the Town Council shall thereupon fix a date for hearing on such roll before the Town Council, and shall direct the Clerk to give notice of such hearing and the time and place thereof, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUX ILA, AS FOLLOWS: Sec. 1. That November 12, 1929, at 8 o'clock P. M., be and the same is hereby fixed as the time for hearing upon said assessment roll.,. and the Council Chambers in the Town Hall in said Town of Tukwila is hereby fixed as the place far such hbarng. Sec. 2. The Town Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing and the time and place thereof by publication of such notice in the form provided by law, in the October 18th and October 25th issues of the Duwamish Valley News, a newspaper published in King County, Washington, and of general circula- tion in said Town, and also by publication of such notice in the October 25th and October 26th issues of the Seattle Daily Times, a newspaper published in King County, Washington, and of general circulation in said Town. Sed. 3. A special meeting of the Town Council of said Town of Tukwila is hereby called and ordered to be held in the Council Chambers in the Town Hall in said Town at 8 o'clock -1- P. M. on November 12, 1929, for hearing upon said assessment roll, and at said time and place, and at such other times as the hearing upon said assessment roll may be continued to, the Town Council will sit as a Board of Equalization for the pur- pose of considering such assessment roll, and at such hearing or hearings will consider objections made to said assessment roll, or any part thereof, and will correct, revise, raise, lower, change or modify said assessment roll, or any part thereof, or set aside such assessmentt roll and order such assess- ment roll to be made de novo as to the Town Council shall ap- pear just and equitable, and then proceed to confirm the same by ordinance. A11 persons who may desire to object to said assessment roll shall make such objections in writing and file the same with the Town Clerk at or prior to the date fixed for hearing on said assessment roll. All objections shall state clearly the grainds of objections, and objections not made with- in the time and in the manner herein prescribed shall be con- clusively presumed to have been waived. Unanimously passed and adopted at a special meeting of the Town Council held in said Town on Wednesday, October 16, 1929, and signed by me in open session in authentication of its passage this 16th day of October, 1929.
