SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Haggerton called the Special Tukwila City Council Meeting to order at 8:21 p.m. directly following
the Committee of the Whole meeting.
ROLL CALL
Melissa Hart, Acting City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present were Councilmembers Joe Duffie,
Dennis Robertson, Verna Seal, Allan Ekberg, Kathy Hougardy, De'Sean Quinn and Kate Kruller.
CITY OFFICIALS
Jim Haggerton, Mayor; David Cline, City Administrator; Bob Giberson, Public Works Director;
Peggy McCarthy, Finance Director; Kimberly Matej, Council Analyst; Melissa Hart, Acting City Clerk.
CONSENT AGENDA
Approval of Vouchers #361032- 3610947 and #120600 and 120703 in the amount of $1,201,514.85.
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY ROBERTSON THAT THE CONSENT AGENDA BE APPROVED
AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
a. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with Anchor QEA, LLC for construction management
services (to finalize the construction and project close -out) for the Southcenter Parkway
Extension Project, in the amount of $79,218.00.
MOVED BY SEAL, SECONDED BY QUINN, TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT
WITH ANCHOR QEA, LLC FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES (TO FINALIZE THE
CONSTRUCTION AND PROJECT CLOSE -OUT) FOR THE SOUTHCENTER PARKWAY EXTENSION
PROJECT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $79,218.00. MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
b. Authorize the Mayor to sign a contract with David Evans and Associates for construction
management services (for final surveying and as -built plans) for the Southcenter Parkway
Extension Project, in the amount of $60,878.00.
MOVED BY QUINN, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT
WITH DAVID EVANS AND ASSOCIATES FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES (FOR
FINAL SURVEYING AND AS -BUILT PLANS) FOR THE SOUTHCENTER PARKWAY EXTENSION
PROJECT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,878.00. MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
Mayor Haggerton explained the Council conducts their meetings the first four Mondays of each month,
and he announced there will not be a City Council meeting on July 30, 2012, as it is the 5 th Monday in
July.
