r'HEki AS, the problem of par of :;rotor vehicles has become
an extremely acute one causing unprecedented congestion in many
sections of cities and towns, impeding the flow of traffic, inter-
fering with the normal activities of the City, thus placinj add-
itional burdens on the Police Department and otter law enforcing
agencies in the regulation of traffic, and 4HEREAS, the Town
Council finds that such states conditions do exist in the Town of
Tukwila, NOW, THEItE ORk
"PE IT RESOLVED that the Association of V:ashington Cities go
on record to recommend to the tate Legislature of the
State of f ashin; ton the enactment of appropriate law or
laws to enable cities of the second, third anu fourth class,
to have, acquire, purchase, develop, hold and use property
for the purpose of providing; adequate off- street park
within its limits and /or, to the extent permitted by law,
provide for and authorize the ester )1is1im nit of local im-
provement districts so a.s to provide adequate off- street
parking facilities.
