WHEREAS, during the past five years Mr. Melvin W. Watkins has
served the Town of•Tukwila in a most capable and efficient
manner as Councilman of said town; and
WHEREAS, he has devoted both time and enepgy toward the improvement
of Tukwila with no thought of remuneration for himself, and
as a member of the Street and Park committees has helped to
provide better streets and an improved Park and contributed
much to the growth and efficiency of the Fire Department,
and
WHEREAS he has at all times co- operated to the fullest extent with
members of the town Council
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA
THAT a sincere vote of appreciation be given Mr. Watkins for the
faithful and efficient manner in which he has served the
Town of Tukwila as Councilman for the past five years,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, signed
by members of the Council, be presented to Mr. Watkins as
memento of the highesteem in which they hold him and also
of the action taken at this time.
PASSED the To Council and signed by the Mayor and Councilm`6n
this 2nd day of June, 1958.
