to have once known Mr. Myron Slade as their Street Superintendent;
and
WHEREAS, Mr, Slade was a man dedicated to the beautification
and improvement of the streets of Tukwila; and
WREREAS, during his tours of duty as Street Superintendent,
it was .always forest in his mind to improve and expand the street
System of kwila; and
s RE S, a new street has been constructed to replace certain
potions of South 162nd Street and 54th Avenue South,
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE T TKWILA TOWN COUNCIL
THAT this new street be dedicated and known as "Slade
a 3d=that it may continue to serve the citizens of Tukwila, in its
beautiful sylvan setting, and to keep alive the memory of a man
dedicated to the service of all.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be placed
among the records of the Town of Tukwila and that a copy thereof
Shall be presented to Mrs. Slade.
PASSED the Town Council and APPROVED by the Mayor and signed
by the Councilmen this 6th day of November, 1961.
