decided on advancement from a town of the 4th class to a City of the 3rd
class.
Whereas -on November 28, 1961 a Special Advancement Election was held in
the Town of Tukwila, and
Whereas -the vote was 195 for advancement and 13 agaisnt, and
Whereas -the Election was certified on December 4, 1961 by the King County
Canvassing Board of Election Returns, and
Whereas -a certified copy of the Election Transcript has been prepared by
the King County Auditor and forwarded to the Secretary of State.
Now therefore -be it resoloved by the Tukwila Town Council.
That the Town Council of Tukwila hereby declares, that the inhabitants of
the Town of Tukwila have decided to advance in classification from a 4th
class town to a 3rd class City and further directs the Town Clerk to certify
this resolution to the Clerk of the Board of King County Commissioners.
