City Councilmen
City of Tukwila
Tukwila, Washington
Dear Sirs:
August 8, 1962
The members of the Tukwila Volunteer Fire Department wish to contribute
to the City of Tukwila the sum of $5,000.00 which was the Department's
income from the sale of fireworks.
This money is to be used toward the purchase of the following items:
1. 15 ea. hats, coats and boots.
2. Installation of siren and wiring in Station 2.
3. Heating plant for Station 2.
4. Relay system to connect sirens.
5. Building for temporary housing of Station 2.
The members of the department recommend the money be used toward the
purchase of the above items in the order they are listed as the sum
of $5,000.00 will not be sufficient to completely cover all items
mentioned.
We further recommend the above mentioned building should be constructed
at the Tukwila Park site to be used temporarily as Fire Station 11 2 and
later as a permanent park building. We are enclosing specifications for
this building.
If these conditions meet with your approval and you wish to accept this con-
tribution, please let us know.

Yours truly,
TUKWILA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT.
