be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tukwila
this 4th day of September 1962 abet:
Whereas Mrs. Lois Newton has been the Clerk Treasurer of
this Town of Tukwila and its successor the City of Tukwila for
over fifteen years and has resigned these positions and
Whereas she has given long true and faithful service
during that period of time, devoting her home and many uncompensated
hours to the service and well-being of the citizens of this
city and
Whereas the citizens of this City and particularly the
officials of this City of Tukwila are truly grateful to her for
such service now therefore
be it resolved that this Council extend to Mrs. newton
their heartfelt gratitude of her friends, neighbors and fellow
officials on the occasion of her retirement from public service.
