TUKWILA TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF THE RENTON CITY
JAIL BY THE CITY OF TUKWILA.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila does not have jail facili-
ties, and the City of Renton has jail facilities available for
Tukwila's use on the conditions contained in the attached
agreement, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
The mayor of the City of Tukwila is
authorized to enter into a hold harm-
less agreement, a copy of which is at-
tached hereto and marked Exhibit "A
in which the City of Renton agrees to
provide jail facilities for confinement
of persons held by the City of Tukwila,
and the City of Tukwila agrees to hold
harmless the City of Renton from any
and all claims made by any persons com-
plaining of injury, accident, sickness
or damage of any nature whatsoever,
whether to a person or property caused
by the negligence and carelessness of
the City of Renton, its employees or
agents, while being processed, examined,
held or confined in the City of Renton
jail at the request of the City of Tukwila,
and the City of Tukwila agrees to pay
for all meals provided for persons so
confined in the Renton City jail.

WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila does not have jail facilities
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has jail facilities and is agreeable
to the use of these facilities on a temporary basis only for confinement
of persons held by the City of 'Tukwila, NOW, THEREFORE,
IN CONSIDERATION for the right to use the City of Renton jail
facilities for the confinement of persons being held by the City of
Tukwila agrees as follows:
1. To hold harmless the City of Renton from any and all claims
made by any person complaining of injury, accident, sickness or damage
of any nature whatsoever, whether to person or property caused by .the
negligence and carelessness of the City of Renton, its employees or agents,
while being processed, examined, held or confined in the City of Renton
Jail at the request of the City of Tukwila, and to promptly defend such
action at the expense of the City of Tukwila, and
2. To pay for all meals provided for persons confined in the City
of Renton Jail at the request of the City of Tukwila.
