RESOLUTION NO. 187
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Tukwila, Washington, declaring its
intention to improve certain properties along
Interurban Avenue (S.S.H. 5M, also known as
West Valley Highway) in the City of Tukwila,
Washington, by the construction of a sanitary
sewer system and to create a local improvement
district to assess the cost and expense of such
improvement against the properties in the Dis-
trict specially benefited thereby; and notifying
all persons who may desire to object to such
improvement to appear and present their
objections at a meeting of the City Council
to be held on May /6 1966.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Tukwila Wash-
ington, unanimously deeming it necessary for the protection of the public
health and safety, hereby declares its intention to order the construction of
a sanitary sewer system along the west side of Interurban Avenue (S.S.H.
5M, also known as West Valley Highway) from approximately South 150th
Street projected easterly to the westerly projection of 143rd Place by
installing sanitary sewer lateral mains, pumping stations force mains,
overflows, manholes, side sewers and appurtenances relating to good sewer
construction.
The foregoing shall be carried out in accordance with the plans
and specifications therefor to be prepared by Hill Ingman, the City's
Engineers.
Section 2. The entire cost and expense of the improvement
shall be borne by and assessed against the properties specially benefited by
such improvement to be included in the local improvement district to be
established embracing as near as may be all properties specially benefited
by such improvement. There shall be included in such cost and expense
all cost items provided in RCW 35.44.020.
Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the
improvement herein mentioned are hereby notified to appear and present such
objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall, Tukwila, Washington, at 8:00 p.m. (PDST) on May M
1966, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating
to the proposed improvement, and all objections thereto, and for determining
the method of payment for that improvement.
Section 4. Hill Ingman, the City's Engineers, are hereby
directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to May /6 1966, all
data and information required by law to be submitted.
The foregoing Resolution was ADOPTED UNANIMOUSLY
by the City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof this 18th day of April, 1966.
