HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0199 - LID #15 (Local Improvement District)CITY OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 199 A resolution of the City Council, City of Tukwila, Washington, de- claring its intention to improve a portion of South 178th Street by creation of an enlarged local improvement district for recon- structing and relocating the street, including excavating, shaping, ballasting, grading, paving with Portland Cement Concrete, and land acquisitions; and notifying all persons who may desire to object to crea- tion of an enlarged district and to said improvement to appear and present their objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held on the £$�"n day of N 1968. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, the City of Tukwila, Washington, as follows: Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, to order the improvement of South 178th Street from South Center Parkway westerly to the western margin of the City of Tukwila, Washington, by relocating, excavating, grading, shaping, ballasting, and paving with Portland Cement Concrete, and to acquire such easements and rights -of -way as are needed to construct the project. Section 2. The property to be specially benefited is described in Description "A" attached hereto and incorporated by reference as though fully set forth. Such property to be specially benefited extends beyond the boundaries of the improvement as set forth in Ex- hibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated by reference as though ful- ly set out, thus creating an enlarged improvement district. Section 3. The total estimated cost of said improvement is hereby declared to be $83,300. That up to 90 per cent of the cost of said improvement shall be paid from funds derived from the State of Washington Urban Arterial Board. That the entire remaining costs and expenses of such improvement shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by such improvement. That the property to be specially benefited by such improvement extends beyond the boundary of the improvement as set forth and comprised in an enlarged improve- ment district. That the proportion of the estimated amount of the remaining costs and expense of such improvement to be charged to the property lying between the termini of the proposed improvement and extending back from the marginal lines thereof to the middle of the block on each side thereof shall be $177.00 or 2% of the remaining cost; and the proportion of the estimated cost to be charged to the remainder of the enlarged district shall be $8,153.00 or 98% of the estimated cost. There shall be included in the costs and expenses of said improvement all cost items specified in RCW 35.44.020. Section 4. That all persons who may desire to object to the creation of an enlarged district or to the improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council chambers in the City ,�l Hall, Tukwila, Washington, at 8:00 p.m. on 4.t// A g^ 1968, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvement. Section 5. That Hill, Ingman, Chase Co., City engineers, are hereby directed to submit to the City Council, on or before the 2 -3 day of dtee.k 1968, all data and information required by law to be submitted.
