HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0200 - Interlocal Agreement - Seattle King County Public Health ServicesCITY OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 200 WHEREAS, Chapter 51, Laws of 1967, Extraordinary Session, requires- that each city and town shall provide health services; and WHEREAS, the cities and towns of King County are desirous of providing and paying for said services at equitable and standardized level; NOW, THEREFORE the City of Tukwila does resolve as follows: That each city and town contract with the Seattle -King County Department of Public Nealth for basic health services and shall pay for 1968 one -third of the amount as established by the Health Department's proposed payment plan with the following provisions: 1. A committee composed on one representative of the City of Seattle, one representative of King County, two representatives of the remaining cities and towns in King County, and a fifth member to be appointed by the previous four representatives be created for the purpose of studying and recommending the interpretation, implementation, organization and administration of Chapter 51, Lame of 1967, Extraordinary Session, as related to providing health services, the level of service and method of financing such services. 2. The committee may appoint a nationally -known consultant to assist them with the study. 3. Such a study shall be completed within one year and financed out of the payment for health services, provided that other methods of financing such a study cannot be obtained, and that the amount to be expended meets with the approval of the City of Seattle and the King County Commissioners. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the health services contract to re- negotiated until the completion of the committee's report and negotations of future agreements commensurate when the recommendations have been accomplished. 2 PASSED BY the City Council of the City of Tukwila this 4th day of March, 1968.
