WHEREAS, August W. Thies, who served the City of Tukwila for thirty years
as Councilman and as Street and Water Superintendent, has been called by death; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Thies was a maxi of integrity, serving the City faithfully,
a k1xd and loving husband and father, an outstanding citizen, admired by all who
knew him; and,
'WHEREAS, we who knew him well feel his death a personal loss,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
that we, the Council of the City of Tukwila do hereby express our profound grief
and sorrow and to his family and many friends, in this their hour of bereavement,
we extend our sincere sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be placed among the
records of the City of Tukwila and that a copy thereof shall be forwarded to the
family.
PASSED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and Counci members
this 21st day of October, 1915.
