RESOLUTION NO. 218
WbIERIA.S, there is urgent need for recreational facilities in the South
Central School District and adjacent areas, and
WHEREAS, the citizens of said area are requesting the location of a King
County Park swimming facility in the 4400 block on South 144.th, the center of a
heavily populated residential area, and
WHS.r s, said proposed site is ideally located between Foster High School
and Showalter Junior High School and also readily available to several Highline
District schools.
NW, THEE EFOuftl, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tukoila
to go on record in support of the selection of the above proposed site by the King
County Park Board for construction of one of the swintning facilities to be built
with For raid Thrust Park Funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a. copy of this resolution be forwarded to
meMbers of tho King County Park Beard.
ADOPTED by the Tukwila City Council in regular council session this
2nd day of December, 196C.
