RESOLUTION NO. 220
CITY OF UKWILA
k. RESOLUTION accepting Sanitary Sewer, Storm Drain
and Water Lines in the River's Bend Development,
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila and Sammamish Commercial Company have
entered into a Developers Agreement whereby Sammamish Commercial will construct
certain utilities at its own cost for confection with, delivery to and operation
of the City, and
WHEREAS, Sammamish Commercial has constructed Sanitary Sewer, Storm
Drain and Water Lines in the River's Bend Development, and
WHEREAS, Sammamish Commercial wishes to assign and convey said utilities
to the City of Tukwila, and
WHEREAS, Hill, Ingman, Chase Company, City Engineer Consultants, have
inspected said utilities and recommend their acceptance subject to certain
stipulations.
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Tukwila to accept said utilities for maintenance and operation by the City subject
to the following provisions:
1', The Sanitary Sewer line shall be flushed, balled and air tested.
2', The Water Line shall pass a purity t.est,
3. Developer to construct an emergency overflow into the Green River on
the Sanitary Sewer System.
4, In the event that defects, due to faulty labor, workmanship or materials
appear within one year from date of acceptance by the City, the Developer shall,
at his own expense correct the same,
LC The Developer shall deliver to the City a bond in the amount of 15% of
construction costs that a reliable contractor will make and pay for repairs
within one year from the date of acceptance of the utilities, arising from said
faulty labor, workmanship or materials.
6. The form of the bond shall be approved by the City Attorney.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON this

Utilities Construction.
We hereby recommend that the City of Tukwila accept the
Sanitary Sewer, Storm Drain and Water Lines of the above refer-
enced project with the following provisions:
(1) The Sanitary Sewer line shall be flushed, balled,
and air tested.
(2) The water line shall pass a purity test.
(3) Developer to construct an emergency overflow into
the Green River on the Sanitary Sewer system.

Government Lot 1, Section. 35, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M., King County
2. TIME LIMITATION: Immediately to December 31, 1968
3. SPECIAL PROVISIONS: See Page 2

5. Under no circumstance is there to be created a block to stream flow or fish passage.

The Department of Fisheries and the Department of Game reserve the right to make further restrictions if deemed necessary for

liable for any property damage which might occur as a result of this project.

Approval given to City of Tukwila, City Hall, Tukwila, Washington 98067
SPECIAL PROVISIONS:
a) No equipment is to work within the wetted perimeter of river except that
necessary to excavate a toe.
Drainage System
b) Raw trenches are to be filled as soon as possible to prevent silt intrusion
from associated excavation.
c) Extreme care shall be taken to insure that no lime, wet concrete, petroleum
products, silt or other deleterious material is allowed to fall, flow, leach
or otherwise enter the flowing river.
d) Concrete products are to have a minimum of seven (7) days curing time before
contact with the flowing river.
e) Scalping and sloping of the bank is to be conducted in a manner to prevent
dirt or soil from entering the river.
f) Riprap is to be composed of clean matetial placed from the bank in a manner
to cause no undue restriction to normal stream flow.
g) These provisions are to be observed by the contractor(s) and /or equipment
operator(s).
