RESOLUTION NO. 230
C!TY OF
WHEREAS, a petition for a variance in sign height
restrictions has been submitted to the Tukwila Planning
Commission, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on said petition has been
held by the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken the petition under
consideration in regular session wherein all interested persons
were heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Tukwila, Washington as follows:
A variance of sign height restrictions under Ordinance 251
is hereby granted to construct a sign 20 feet high, the base to
be mounted on a sign structure 70 feet from ground elevation as
requested in the petition filed May 28, 1969 by Union Oil
Company on the following described. property:
That portion of the Stephen Foster Donation Claim No. 38,
in Section 15, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M., in
King County, Washington, described as follows:
Commencing at a point which bears N 40 °01'05" W 920.15
feet from a monument at the point of intersection of a
curve on the centerline of the Duwamish Renton Junction
Road, said point of intersection being approximately
1000 feet east and 20 feet south of the quarter corner
between sections 14 and 15, said Township 23; thence
N 49 °24'00" W 835.00 feet on a line parallel to and 150
feet northeasterly of the centerline of said Duwamish-
Renton Junction Road, to a point which bears N 81 °44'15"
E 199.17 feet from the point of curve on the centerline
of said Duwamish- Renton Junction Road, said point of
curve being approximately 1200 feet north and 440 feet
west of the quarter corner between said sections 14 and
15; thence S 40 °36'00" W 20 feet to the northeasterly
margin of the right -of -way of the Puget Sound Electric
Railway; thence N 49 °24'00" W along said right -of -way
408.29 feet to the true point of beginning; thence con-
tinuing N 49 °24'00" W 172.00 feet; thence N 40 °36'00"
E 150.00 feet; thence S 49 0 24'00" E 172.00 feet; thence
S 40 °36'00" W 150.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
