RESOLUTION NO. 234
WHEREAS, a petition for a variance in sign height
restrictions has been submitted to the Tukwila Planning Commission,
and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on said petition has been held by
the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken the petition under
consideration in regular session wherein all interested persons were
heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Tukwila, Washington as follows:
A variance of sign height restrictions under Ordinance 251 is
hereby granted to construct a sign of an overall height of 90 feet
from ground elevation as requested in the petition filed October 31,
1969 by John B. Strander and Mobil Oil Corporation on the following
described property:
That portion of the Stephen Foster Donation Claim in
Sections 14 and 15, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M.,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point which bears North 81 44' 15" East
a distance of 199.17 feet from a monument (hub) at the end
of a curve on the center line of the Duwamish- Renton Junction
Road now paved, said curve being approximately 1,200 feet
North and 440 feet West of the quarter section corner between
said Sections 14 and 15;
thence North 40 36' East, 180.0 feet;
thence South 49 24" East, 160.0 feet to a point on the
Northwesterly right -of -way margin of Primary State Highway
No. 1 as said margin was established by Judgment and
Decree of Appropriation in King County Superior Court Cause
No. 591370;
thence Southwesterly along said Northwesterly margin t
point from which the point of beginning bears North 49 24'
West,;
thence North 49 24' West to the point of beginning.
ALSO a strip of land 20.0 feet in width between the right -of-
way of the Puget Sound Electric Railway Company and the above

described tract, and extending from the most Westerly corner
to the most Southerly corner of said above described tract.
Situate in the County of King, State of Washington.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
Washington this 1st day of December 1969.
