WHEREAS, a petition for a variance in sigh height
restrictions has been submitted to the Tukwila Planning Commission,
and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on said petition has been held
by the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken the petition under
consideration in regular session wherein all interested persons were
heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Tukwila, Washington as follows:
A variance of sign height restrictions under Ordinance 251 is
hereby granted to construct a sign of an overall height of 90 feet
from ground elevation as requested in the petition filed November 14,
1969 by Texaco, Inc. on the following described property:
IN THE COUNTY OF KING, STATE OF WASHINGTON:
That portion of Stephen Foster Donation Land Claim No. 38 in
the Northeast quarter of Section 15, Township 23 North, Range 4
East, W. M. described as follows:
.Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of 48th
Avenue S., granted by the City of Seattle to the State of
Washington as provided by Ordinance No. 93708 of the City
of Seattle and recorded under Auditorfs File No. 6313596
records of said county, with the north- easterly margin of
the City of Seattle Transmission Line Right of Way (formerly
Puget Sound Electric Railway Right of Way); thence N. 49 °24
W., along said northeasterly margin, 8.00 feet to the true
point of beginning; continuing thence N 49 W., along
said northeasterly margin 180.00 feet; thence N 40 E.,
150.00 feet; thence S. 49 24 E., parallel to said north-
easterly margin, 180.00 feet thence S. 40 W., 150.00
feet to the true point of beginning situate in the City of
Tukwila.
