Resolution Rejecting All Bids
ISSUE
Reject all bids for the George Long Shops Water/Oil Separator Project.
The City advertised the project on August 15 and August 22, 2012 and six bids were receivec
and opened on August 29, 2012. The bids were checked and tabulated and one minor math
error was found in the bids d.
The City is planning to replace the existing George Long City Shops with a new facility within
the next 2-3 years. It would be better use of City funds to delay the Water/Oil Separator project
and only do minimal improvements to the George Long Shops to bring it into compliance with
the City's NPDES permit. In the future, a scaled down plan for improvements to the George
Long Shops will be issued for construction.
