Home My WebLink AboutRes 1775 - Public Hearing for Street Vacation of Southcenter Parkway Street Vacation Resolution No. 1775 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF RIGHT -OF -WAY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUKWILA DEDICATED FOR STREET PURPOSES, GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS PORTIONS OF SOUTHCENTER PARKWAY BETWEEN APPROXIMATELY SOUTH 180 STREET AND EXISTING CITY LIMITS. WHEREAS, on June 8, 2009, the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance No. 2240, vacating portions of the existing Southcenter Parkway right -of -way for the Tukwila South Project; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2240 inadvertently failed to address replacement access for two parcels located along the Southcenter Parkway right -of -way; and WHEREAS, in order to address the access needs of these two parcels, the City desires to amend Ordinance No. 2240 to provide for replacement access to these parcels; and WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 35.79.010, a public hearing on the amended street vacation must be set by resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A public hearing regarding the vacation of a portion abutting Southcenter Parkway, more particularly described on the legal description, shall be held before the Tukwila City Council i Chambers at Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwi November 5, 2012, which is not less than 20 nor more than 60 da\ passage of this resolution, at which time all persons interested ii vacation are invited to appear and be heard.
