RESOLUTION NO. 270
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING KING
COUNTY TO PREPARE A PLAN FOR THE CITY'S SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT FOR INCLUSION
IN THE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
WHEREAS, The Legislature of the State of Washington has authorized cer-
tain grants and allowances to be extended to assist in development of solid
waste management sites and procedures in the State of Washington, and
WHEREAS, Cities may make application for state financial assistance
accordingly in three manners; namely, on a city plan, on a joint plan with the
County which it is located, or authorize the County to prepare a plan for the
city's solid waste management for inclusion in a comprehensive county plan, and
WHEREAS, It is the desire and intention of the City of Tukwila, King
County, Washington, to authorize the County to prepare a plan for the City's
solid waste management for inclusion in the comprehensive county plan, all as
authorized by the legislature and on application therefor, and
WHEREAS, It is the requirement that a resolution be submitted to effect
the purposes above set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
"That the City Council of the City of Tukwila, King County, Washington,
bn behalf of said City hereby authorized King County to prepare a plan
for the City's Solid waste management for inclusion in the comprehensive
county plan and to do such other steps as are necessary to effect and
receive funds and awards for governing state financial systems for solid
waste planning."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
"That the terms of participation will be mutually determined at the onset
of such a planning program."
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 18th day of
October, 1971.
