RESOLUTION NO 277
WHEREAS, Richard A. Bowen has honorably served the City of
Tukwila as a member of its Council since April of 1962, giving
freely of his time and effort over these past 10 years, and
WHEREAS, during this time he has cooperated to the fullest
extent with members of the Council and worked diligently on the numerous
committees to which he was appointed, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Bowen has served as President of the Council
for the past four years, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bowen also served several years as Chairman of
the Annexation Committee prior to his election to office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Tukwila
That we, the members of the Tukwila City Council, commend Mr. Bowen
for his faithful service to the City of Tukwila during his years of
public service. He has served the City well during a time of tremendous
growth and given freely of his time and efforts for the betterment of
the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution signed
by the Mayor and all the members of the Council be presented to Councilman
Bowen as a memento of his contribution to the growth and progress of the
City of Tukwila.
ADOPTED this 17th day of January, 1972.
