RESOLUTION NO 288
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION
FOR GRANT FROM THE OFFICE OF HOUSING AND
URBAN DEVELOPMENT IN THE SUM OF $100,000
TO SUPPLEMENT COST OF PROPOSED SEWER DEVELOP-
MENT IN THE LOWER FOSTER AREA.
WHEREAS, additional funds will be required to construct the
proposed Lower Foster Sewer Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
Resolve as follows:
1. That mayor Frank Todd be and he is hereby authorized to
execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Tukwila
with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, United States
Government, for a grant in the sum of $100,000 to aid in financing
the construction of a sanitary sewage improvement for the lower
Foster Area, and to give assurance of compliance with the Department
of Housing and Urban Development regulations under Title VI of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964.
2. That Frank Todd, mayor, be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to furnish such information and to execute such documents as
the Department of Housing and Urban Development may reasonably request
in connection with the application which is herein authorized to be filed.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
and approved by the mayor at a regular meeting thereof, this 1st
day of May, 1972.
