paychecks have heretofore been issued on the first day and the
fifteenth day of each month for work done through the end of the
preceding month and through the fifteenth of the month, and
WIIEREAS, The issuance of paychecks at such times makes
it difficult to prepare the payroll,
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Tukwila
resolves as follows:
1. That effective June 1, 1972, the pay period for city
employees shall be from the first day of the month through the
fifteenth, with the day of pay being on the 20th day of the month,
unless the 20th day shall fall on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday,
in which event the day of pay shall be the last working day pre-
ceding the 20th day of the month. The second pay period within
a month shall be from the sixteenth day through the last day of
the month, with the day of pay being on the fifth day of the
following month, unless the fifth day shall fall on a Saturday,
Sunday or holiday, in which event the day of pay shall be the
last working day preceding the fifth day of the month.
