RESOLUTION NO. 297
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION
WITH THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION,
U. S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA, FOR A GRANT UNDER THE TERMS OF
PUBLIC LAW 89 -136 AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, under the terms of Public Law 89 -136 as amended,
the United States of America has authorized the making of grants
to public bodies and private or public nonprofit organizations
or associations to aid in financing the construction of specific
projects:
NOW, THERFFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council, City
of Tukwila
1. That Frank Todd, Mayor, is hereby authorized to execute
and file an application on behalf of City of Tukwila with the
Economic Development Administration, U. S. Department of Commerce,
for a grant to aid in financing the construction of Public Works
Shop and Vehicle Parking Facility.
2. That Frank Todd, Mayor, is hereby authorized and directed
to furnish such information as the Economic Development Administration,
U. S. Department of Commerce, may reasonably requests in connection
with the application which is herein authorized to be filed.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted by the City Council
of the City of Tukwila, Washington, and approved by the Mayor at a
regular meeting thereof this 5th day of June, 1972.
