with the Puget Sound Governmental Conference, have heretofore under-
taken extensive studies and investigation of the feasibility of
providing efficient and reasonable transit service to the residents
of King County.
WHEREAS it has been determined and the City Council of the
City of Tukwila so finding that such proposed transit service would be
of substantial benefit to the public and especially to the citizens
of Tukwila who are urgently in need of improved, regular and reasonable
transportation, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of the City of Tukwila hereby finds and
determines that the proposed "Metro Transit Plan" as heretofore
presented, is proper, reasonable and of benefit to the general public
and especially the citizens of Tukwila, in providing regular, efficient
and inexpensive transportation to the public. The City of Tukwila hereby
goes on record in fully supporting the principles of such plan and
urges its implementation at the earliest possible date.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila
this 17th day of July, 1972.
