RESOLUTION NO. 311
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 308,
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $370,000. AND A LOAN IN THE
AMOUNT OF $170,000. FROM THE STATE OF
WASHINGTON, ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE AUTHORITY
TO AID IN THE EXTENSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF
STRANDER BOULEVARD BY CONSTRUCTION OF A
BRIDGE ACROSS THE GREEN RIVER.
WHEREAS, The City of Tukwila, Washington, has applied
for a grant from the State of Washington, Economic Assistance
Authority to aid in the construction of a bridge across the
Green River, said grant having originally been approved in
the amount of $270,000. and thereafter having been increased
upon application of the City of Tukwila to $370,000. and
additional funds having been made available to the City of
Tukwila in the form of a loan in the amount of $170,000. at
4% interest,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Tukwila accept a grant of $370,000.
from the State of Washington, Economic Assistance Authority
to aid in the extension and development of Strander Boulevard
by constructing a bridge across the Green River, and that
additional funds to be used for said purpose be accepted in
the form of a loan from the State of Washington, Economic
Assistance Authority in the amount of $170,000. with interest
at the rate of 4% per annum.
That Frank: Todd, Mayor, and Shirlee Kinney, City Clerk
be and are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the
City of Tukwila documents necessary to receive the funds
represented by the grant and loan referred to above.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted by the City Council
of the City of Tukwila, Washington, and approved by the Mayor
at a regular meeting thereof this 5th day of September, 1972.
