RESOLUTION NO. 315
RESOLUTION PERMITTING THE CITY OF TUKWILA
TO RESPOND WITH FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
AND AUTIHORIZING THE MAYOR AND FIRE CHIEF
TO ENTER INTO A MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT WITH
KING COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1

The City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington,
resolve as follows:
That the City of Tukwila and King County Fire Protection
District No. 1 enter into a contract for automatic response when a
structural fire alarm is received by either fire department in an
area generally South of 9300 in King County Fire Protection District
No. 1 or North of South 154th in the City of Tukwila, described
as follows:
Beginning at the Duwamish River at 9300, to 32nd
Avenue South, to South Ryan Street or South 104th
Street, to Empire Way South, to South 107th Street,
to Burlington Northern Railroad Tracks, to the
Tukwila City Limits, South 154th Street, to MaeAdam
Road, to 53rd Avenue South, to South 139th Street,
to 56th Place South, to 53rd Avenue South, to 52nd
Avenue South, to Interurban Avenue South, to 47th
Avenue South, to 131st Street, to South 133rd
Street, including the shopping center across from
Clarkiift Company, to 42nd Avenue South,,to the
center line of the Duwamish River to the place of
beginning, including the Technical Research
Company at 13535 Monster Road South
Where distance, value and size of the structure, and
subsequent alarms are factors in determining the need for addi-
tional equipment response, this determination shall be arrived
at by the chief officers of the respective departments.
Such contracts shall be binding upon both parties for
a period of one year and shall be automatically renewed for a
similar term. Such contract may be terminated by either party
only by giving written notice to the other party and to thr
Washington Surveying and Rating Bureau not less than thirty days
prior to the anniversary date of such contract.
The Mayor and Fire Chief of the City of Tukwila are
hereby authorized to enter into an agreement on the above
terns and conditions.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor
this 10th day of September, 1972.

ment outside the Fire Department Boundaries.)
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fire Department of King County Fire Protection
District #1 shall be permitted to respond with fire fighting equipment for
mutual aid response within other Fire Districts or Cities where there is a
signed Mutual Aid Agreement, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, the City of Tukwila and King County Fire Pro-
tection District #1 enter into a contract for automatic response when a
structural fire alarm is received by either Fire Department in an area
generally South of 9,300 in King County Fire Protection District #1 or North
of South 154th Street in the City of Tukwila, described as follows:
Beginning at the Duwamish River at 9300, to 32nd Avenue South, to
South Ryan Street or South 104th Street, to Empire Way South, to
South 107th Street, to Burlington Northern Railroad Tracks, to
the Tukwila City Limits, South 154th Street, to MacAdam Road, to

where distance, and /or size and value of the
structure, or in case of subsequent alarms, is a factor determining the
need for the additional equipment response, which shall be mutually
