BACKGROUND
Cri No%emben 19, 2012, a large sinkhole was created aider iI ere was a brieak iri a 3CI-inch
storm water line on East Marginal Way South jr. st south of SI 12,1th St. The pipe conveys
storm wailer flows from the east fork o11 Riverlon Creek as well as local drainage iri the area
near Croup Health and the Metro br. s barn. The pipe is corm. gated metal and is
approximately 10' deep.
A complete fail'', re oil the storm pipe or expansion oft e sink hole could lead to localized
flooding and/or carnage lo utilities and the roadway.
