RESOLUTION NO. 334
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING HOUSE BILL NO. 519
OF TIIE WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE.
WHEREAS There is currently pending in the Legislature
of the State of Washington IIouse Bill No. 519, introduced by
State Representative Icing Lysen, from the 31st District, and
WHEREAS House Bill No. 519 would increase the Port
Commissioners in King County from five to nine and would require
that candidates for the position of Port Commissioner be elected
from the nine County Commissioner Districts in King County
rather than be elected at large, and the City Council of the
City of Tukwila being in favor of these changes,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of Tukwila is in favor
of the changes proposed by House Bill No. 519 and recommends that
it be adopted as law.
Section 2. That Mayor Frank Todd be and he is hereby
directed to advise legislative leaders of this by forwarding to
them copies of this Resolution.
PASSED BY TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA and
signed by the Mayor this 5th day of March, 1973.
