An ordinance for the improvement by laying sidewalks on the south side of Reitz Avenue
beginning on Lot 10 to the North side of Lot 26 all in Block 15.
Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Tukwila:
Section 1 that the south side of Reitz Avenue beginning on Lot 10 to the North side of Lot 26
Block 15 in the City of Tukwila shall be improved by the laying of a sidewalk thereon in
accordance with Ordinance No 5 of the City of Tukwila
Section 2 that there is hereby established a local improvement district to be designated as Local
Improvement District No 5 LID 5 which said district is described as follows:
All the property abutting adjacent or approximate to said portion of Reitz Avenue beginning with
Lot 11 to the south line of Lot 26 inclusive in Block 15 Hillman's Seattle Garden Tracts
The property 8included in the said LID and none other shall be deemed to be and shall be the
property specially benefitted by the said improvement; and the total cost and expenses of
the improvements herein ordered including all necessary incidental expenses shall be
defrayed by the collection of a special assessment upon the immediate payment plan
against the property included in said LID.
Section 3 provided that nothing herein contained shall be construed as prohibiting the
abutting property owners from doing this work himself under the restrictions of ordinance no 5
and the supervision of the regularly appointed officer committee in charge of the building
of the sidewalks.
Section 4 This ordinance shall take effect on and after five days from and after its publication.
Passed the City Council this 9th day of March 1909 and signed by me in open session in
authentication of its passage this 9th day of March 1909.
