AMENDED BY: REPEALED BY: 20 §1 -3 21 §4 -5 Section 1. An Ordinance relating to the duties and compensation of t.h& Officers of the Town of Tukwila. Section 2. ORDINANCE NO 14 sections 4 and 5 REPEALED BY 21 Be it Ordained by the Council of the Town of Tukwila: That the Town Clerk shall discharge the duties prescribed by larva. and Ordinance, act as clerk of all the standing committees of."; the Council and perform the clerical work thereof; and he skulk execute a bond to the Town of Tukwila in the sum of Five Hundre-t Dollars (4500.00), conditioned for the- faithful performance of_= his duties. He shall receive as full compensation for all his services such clerk, a salary of One Hundred and-Twenty Dollars (4120.00) annually, payable monthly, and he shall also receive the sum of.Three Dollars (43.00) for each day for regia tration. The Town Treasurer of the Town of Tukwila shall discharge the duties of his office as prescribed by law and ordinance. He shall execute a bond to the Town of Tukwila in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars (4500.00), conditioned for the faithful perform- ance of his duties, and that he will faithfully account for and pay over upon proper vouchers, executed by the proper\officlals of the Town of Tukwila, all money that may come into his hands as such Treasurer belonging to the Town of Tukwila. He shall receive as full compensation for all his services as such Treas- urer a salary of Twenty -five Dollars 025.00) annually, payable monthly. action 3. The Town Marshal of the Town of Tukwila shall perform the duties prescribed by law and ordinance. He shall execute a bond to the Town of Tukwila in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars (000.00), conditioned for the faithful performance of his duties, and that he will account for and pay over to the proper officials all money which may come into his hands belonging to the -Town of Tukwila. He shall receive as compensation for his services as: Marshal the sum of Eighty Dollars (80.00) annually, payable monthly. He shall receive in addition to the above, such fees for serving any process, and performing any other duties as of- ficer of the Police Court, as are provided by law for constables for performing similar service before Justice of Peace Court, and Thirty'Cents (30/) per hour for services as Street Supervisor It shall be the duty of the Marshal to examine from time to time the streets, alleys and thoroughfares of the Town of Tukwila; a11, sidewalks and grounds belonging to the Town of Tukwila, all cul`== verts, sewers, drains and.crossings, and exercise general care over the same, and.report to the Council at each meeting the con dition of the same. When any of the said streets, alleys, side walks, bridges, culverts, sewers or crossings shall, in the judg ment of the said Town Marshal, need immediate repairing in.order to protect the. interests of the .Town,. he shall make stick, repairs and report the same to the Council at._the first meeting thereafter. In addition to the reports required by this section, the Town M shal shall, on every Tuesday before the hour of six oiclock`P• file a written report with the Town Clerk containing a_record;? of all his official acts of whatsoever nature during the:,r�ee] ending at the time of filing said report, including a s.ta'temen of- all moneys received and. disbursed, which said report aka certified by_said Marshal to be true.and correct.. ection 4. The Town Attorney of the ;own of Tukwila shall perform the dut of his office- as -provided by law and ordinance. The Town Attorney of the Town of Tukwila shall perform the duties of his office as provided, by law and ordinance. It shall be his duty to attend all meetings of the Council and be the legal adviser of the Mayor and Council and all other officers in all matters relating to their official duties. He shall prosecute all cases before the police court for viola- tion of any of the town ordinances, contracts and agreements for the Council or any town officer when so requested. He shall conduct all cases before any court wherein the Town of Tukwila may be inter- ested either as plaintiff, defendant or intervenor, and perform any other services pertaining to his profession required by law or the Ordinances of the Town of Tukwila. He shall receive as compensation in full for his serVices as such attorney the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per annum, payable monthly, and the Attorney fees provided by law and ordinance in all cases which he shall con- duct before any court wherein the Town of Tukwila may be plaintiff or defendant; provided, that in no case shall the Town of Tukwila become responsible for the collection of said Attorney'sfees. Section 5. The Police Justice of the Town. of Tukwila shall perform the duties of his office as prescribed by law and ordinance. He shall execute a bond to the Town. of Tukwila in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars (*500.00), conditioned for the faithful performance of his duties, and that he will faithfully account to the Town of Tukwila for all moneys coming into his hands, belonL:ing to the Town, and pay the same over to the proper officer. He shall receive as corn pensation for his services the same fees as are allowed to the Jus- tice of the Peace in case of violation of the Statutes of the State. In all cases before the Police Justice where the Town of 'Tukwila is the prevailing party, he may include as attorney's fees a sum not to exceed Five Dollars ($5.00) as part of the cost which, shen collected shall be paid to the Town. Attorney. Section 6.. This ordinance shall take effect from and after five (5) days from the date of its publication.
