WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 368
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PUGET SOUND
GOVERNMENTAL CONFERENCE IN ITS ROLE OF
COORD]:NATING HUMAN RESOURCES PLANNING IN
THE CENTRAL PUGET SOUND REGION.
WHEREAS, elected officials may be called upon by the
state and /or federal government to develop plans and set priorities for
all types of human resource programs; and
WHEREAS, the Puget Sound Governmental Conference is a
consortium of elected officials from all jurisdictions within the four
county area; and
WHEREAS, the Puget Sound Governmental Conference has rec-
eived funding from HEW in the amount of $166,000 to assist local governments
in the region of King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish counties in developing
human resorce planning systems; arid
WHEREAS, the Human Resorces Policy Advisory Committee of
the Conference has directed its staff to work within each county to establish
a steering committee of elected officials to set the policy for coordinated
human resources planning within the county; and
WHEREAS, each county steering committee shall be aided
by a technical advisory committee of staff personnel involved in human
resources programming, working with the Human Resources Director of the Puget
Sound Governmental Conference;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON
That the City of Tukwila shall support the Puget Sound
Governmental Conference in its role of coordinating human resources planning
in the Central Puget Sound Region.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
Washington and approved by the Mayor this 4th day of September, 1973.
