RESOLUTION NO 376
RESOLUTION HONORING INTERNATIONAL
TOASTMISTRESS CLUBS, INCORPORATED
Attest:
CITY OF TUKWILA
WI- IEREAS, International Toastmistress Clubs, Incorporated,
was organized in 1938 and is today the largest non profit women's
educational organization in the world; and
WHEREAS, The development of leadership skills is necessary
for the efficient functioning of our modern society; and
WIIEREAS, Individual self improvement provides the key
whereby women can realize their full potential as a motivating
force in today's world; and
WHEREAS, The International Toastmistress Clubs have
recognized that effective training can result in effective
service to their communities; and
WHEREAS, Through such individual and collective train-
ing and in association with women of twenty International
co and in the fifty states of the United States who belong
to the organization, a foundation is laid for better communica-
tion and understanding;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASIHINGTON, Resolve as follows:
That the month of October, 1973, be and it is hereby
proclaimed NATIONAL TOASTMISTRESS MONTH.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR
of the City of Tukwila, Washington, this day of 24th
September, 1973.
