RESOLUTION NO 379
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING JONES JONES TO PREPARE
FOR THE CITY OF TUKWILA, A MASTER PROGRAM FOR ADMINISTERING
THE REGULARATORY REQUIREMENTS OF THE SHORELINE MANAGEMENT
ACT OF 1971.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, finds
that a full time Shoreline Management Staff is unnecessary and therefore in
accordance with RCW 35.24.020 the City is authorized in lieu of such
appointment by resolution to provide for the performance of required services
on a part time, temporary or periodic basis, and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Shoreline Management Act of 1971
requires all local governments to prepare a Master Program for administering
the regulatory requirements of that Act, and
WHEREAS, The Master Program must be submitted to the State Department
of Ecology no later than 20 December 1973, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City secure professional consulting
services in connection with the preparation of such Master Program, and
WHEREAS, JONES JONES is a qualified consulting firm,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
That the firm of JONES JONES be designated as consultant to
prepare a Master Program for administering the regulatory requirements of
the Shoreline Management Act of 1971, for the City of Tukwila, and pursuant
to this designation the City of Tukwila and the firm of JONES JONES
may enter into a contract to provide such consulting services not to exceed
14,200.00.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 9th
day of October 1973.
