HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0005 - Construction of Sidewalk (Repealed by Ord 569) Ordinance 5 was amended or repealed by the following ordinances. 569 ORDINANCE NO 5 Repealed by Ord 569 An ordinance regulating the construction of sidewalks That all side-walks hereafter laid shall correspond #104 of this ordinance, unless otherwise ordered by the StnCoUndil no permission shall-be granted for the construction Ofanyuther.or different without such order, The width g hereafter constructed or laid upon W!street shall be of the width of 4 feet. Second:,- The under all side-walks shall.-not be less than 16 feet in length, and not less than2" x 4" in thick- ness, resting:upon-solid, safe and secure foundations_ with posts or other solid supports, not more than 5 feet apart; and the planking of each side-wa1 shall rest upon at least'.3 sills in a 4 foot walk, and outside sills on each side of the sidewwalk shall be not more than 2" from the ends of the planking. Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after five- (5)- days.from the date of its publication.
