RESOLUTION NO. 471
CITY OF TUKWILA
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A
PART OF THE CITY BY CONSTRUCTING AND INSTALL-
ING A SYSTEM OF STORM SEWER LINES, AND TO
CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS
THE COST AND EXPENSE OF CARRYING OUT SUCH
IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTY ESPECIALLY
BENEFITTED THEREBY AND NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS
WHO DESIRE TO OBJECT TO THE PROJECT TO APPEAR
AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF
THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON Februat' 17 iq Tb"
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 1
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA RESOLVE AS
Section 1. It is the intention of the Council of the
City of Tukwila, Washington, to order the improvement of the
property within the City of Tukwila, Washington, described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference made a part
hereof, by the improvement described in Exhibit B attached
hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of
the improvement is declared to be $300,000.00, which cost shall
be borne by and be assessed against the property especially
benefitted by such improvement to be included in a local improve-
ment district to be established, embracing as near as may be all
property especially benefitted by such improvement.
Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to
the improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear
and present such objections at a meeting to be held in the
council chambers in the City Hall, Tukwila, Washington, at
7:00 P.M., Pacific Standard Time, on February 17, 1975
which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters
relating to the proposed improvement and all objections thereto
and for determining the method of payment for that improvement.
Section 4. Harstad Associates, Consulting
Engineers, are hereby authorized to proceed with engineering
work required to prepare the preliminary assessment roll and
to make mailings to property owners and are hereby directed to
submit to the City Council on or prior to _FebetAf.v 17 (iv
all data and information required by law to be submitted.
Section 5. The City Council finds that an emergency
exists with regard to the passage of this Resolution and that
it shall be passed immediately.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, And approved by the Mayor, at a regular meeting
thereof this 20th day of January 1975

Legal description for proposed storm drainage Local Improvement
District:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Interstate
#405 and the Green River, herein called the true point of
beginning;
Thence westerly along the center line of Interstate #405
to the intersection of the easterly right -of -way of Interstate
#5; thence southerly along said easterly boundary of Interstate
#5 to the intersection of the approximate northerly right -of -way
of South 173rd Street extended (Tukwila City Limits);
Thence along the Tukwila City Limits in a southerly, south-
westerly, and easterly direction to the intersection of the
city limits of the City of Tukwila and the Green River;
Thence easterly and northerly along the Green River to the
true point of beginning as herein described.
