RESOLUTION NO. 479
A RESOLUTION terminating the services
of Mr. Benjamin McAdoo as architect
for a City Hall /Police Station complex
WHEREAS, the Council finds the design proposals for a City Hall/
Police Station complex submitted by Mr. Benjamin McAdoo are not
appropriate for the location purchased by the City to construct the
complex; and,
WHEREAS, the "Space Needs Study" prepared by Mr. McAdoo for this
project has not been accepted by the Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Council finds it is not in the best public interest
or that of the City of Tukwila to continue the services of Mr. McAdoo
as architect for this project, and determines that the Council is not
required to accept designs for or construct this complex pursuant to
designs about which public and legislative comment have not been
favorable; and,
WHEREAS, there is no written contract, approved by the City
Council, between the City of Tukwila and Mr. Benjamin McAdoo for
his services; and,
WHEREAS, the Council finds it necessary to retain other profes-
sional architectural services for this project;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA:
1. That the professional services of Mr. Benjamin McAdoo as
architect for the City Hall /Police Station complex for the City of
Tukwila be terminated, effective this date.
2. That Resolution No. 313, dated September 18, 1972 be rescinded.
