Kinney, Ci y Clerk FOLLOWS: ATTEST: CIYQF UKWLA WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 490 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA WITH CABOT DOW AND ASSOCIATES TO NEGOTIATE UNION CONTRACTS IN 1975. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA RESOLVE AS That the Chief Executive Officer, be and he is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Tukwila an agreement with Cabot Dow and Associates designating Cabot Dow and Associates as the representative o the City of Tukwila to negotiate labor contracts on behalf of the City of Tukwila during the year 1975. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON AT a regular meeting thereof this 4th day of August 1975 Frank Todd Mayor Shirlee Kinney City Clerk AGREEMENT dated this b day of /t4A 1975, by U and between the CITY OF TUICWILA, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the "CITY" and Cabot J. Dow, and Associates, hereinafter called "DOW WHEREAS, the City, pursuant to state law must soon begin negotiations with the Firefighters, Police Officers and Public Works Employees and their respective representatives for 1976 labor relations contracts; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to enlist the aid of a professional negotiator to work with the City Council in said negotiations: NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the conditions and covenants con- tained herein the parties agree as follows: 1. Dow shall, under the direction of the City Council, perform such of the following services as shall be desired by the City: represent, ad- vise, and /or assist the City in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, evaluate labor agreement proposals, compare the compatibility of proposals with conditions and /or proposals of similar public and private em- ployers, prepare responses to proposals received from authorized bargaining representatives, and perform such other appropriate services relating to the City's collective bargaining matters as shall be desired by the City. 2. The City shall pay to Dow the stun of $30.00 per hour for such ser- vices. 3. It is understood and agreed that there shall be no additional char- ges for travel allowance, printing, meals or lodging and that all such ex- penses shall be paid by Dow and not subject to reimbursement by the City. 4. The term of this agreement shall be until negotiations have been completed to the satisfaction of the City Council and terms and conditions of the contract of the above named bargaining units have been solidified; Agreement Page Two provided, however, that, either party may terminate said agreement upon 10- days written notice to the other party.
