SUBSTITUTE
RESOLUTION NO 495
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO
UTILIZE THE SERVICES OF THE FISCAL AGENT FOR
THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
RCW 43.80.
Attes
WHEREAS, RCW 43.80 provides for a fiscal agent for the State
of Washington whose services are also available to all other municipal
treasurers in the State, at no cost to the municipality; and
WHEREAS, The State Finance Committee did appoint Rainier
National Bank to act as fiscal agent for the State of Washington,
effective May 23, 1975; and
WHEREAS, Taking advantage of the availability of this ser-
vice would relieve the City of Tukwila Treasurer's Office of many
clerical duties and details surrounding the payment and verification
of bonds and coupons, as well as providing storage space for said
paid bonds and coupons (since the above statute also provides for the
cremation after one year of paid bonds and coUpons), and
WHEREAS, The City Council is in favor of utilizing this
opportunity,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Tukwila Treasurer be and she is hereby
authorized to avail herself of the services of Rainier National Bank
as fiscal agent for the State of Washington, and of the services of
any successor fiscal agent that may be appointed and to proceed in
the manner provided by RCW 43.80.
