RESOLUTION NO 498
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING URS, COMPANY
AS ENGINEERS FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 28.
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that the appointment of a
full time City Engineer is unnecessary and in accordance with
RCW 35.24.020 has in lieu of such appointment provided for the
performance of necessary engineering services on a part -time,
temporary or periodic basis, and
WHEREAS, It is necessary that an engineer be employed with
regard to the construction and installation of certain street im-
provements under proposed Local Improvement District No. 28,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the firm of URS COMPANY be
employed to act as engineers for the City in connection with the
street improvements within proposed Local Improvement District No. 28
and subject to approval by the City Council as to its terms, the
City of Tukwila be and it is hereby authorized through the Mayor
and Public Works Director to enter into a contract for such purposes
with URS COMPANY.
