Substitute Resolution November 5, 1975 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: That pursuant to a proposal dated November 6, 1975, Walker and Associates, Inc., be employed by the City to prepare complete contour mylar maps of that area of the Tukwila Planning Area outlined in the map attached hereto at a total cost not to exceed the sum of $12,000.00. The Chief Executive Officer on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized to execute a contract for these services. Berry Jr. November 6, 1975 City of Tukwila 6230 Southcenter Boulevard Tukwila, WA 98067 Attention: Mr. Kjell Stoknes, Planning Director Re: Aerial Topographic Maps for the City of Tukwila Dear Mr. Conrac We are submitting the following proposal for the making of aerial topographic maps for the City of Tukwila covering the following areas: In Township 22 North, Range 4 East N1/2 Section 2 606 N N? Section 3 355N NE4 Section 4 354 NE% In Township 23 North, Range 4 East E z Section 9 314 E N i Section 10 316 N W1/2 Section 15 324 W E i Section 16 323 E E% Section 21 332 E Wk Section 22 333 W W1/2 Section 27 343 W E z Section 28 342 E E i Section 33 348 E W1/2 Section 34 349 W Aerial Photography We would fly the area with one North -South line using our Zeiss 6'inch precision mapping camera at an altitude of 9,000 feet above the ground. This would yield a photo scale of one inch to 1,500 feet and it would take seven photographs to cover the area. One additional AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY PHOTOGRAMMETRY GEODETIC SURVEYS FORESTRY November 6, 1975 Page 2 flight consisting of two photographs will also be required to cover the North half of Section 2, Township 22 North, Range 4 East. Ground Control Surveys All necessary ground control work will be performed by Walker and Associates, Inc. Well distributed horizontal control points will be premarked throughout the project area, and vertical control will be established to control each stereo model. Aerial Mapping All aerial topographic mapping will be performed on our first order Santoni stereo plotters to National Map Accuracy Standards. All planimetric detail visible on the photographs will be shown on the manuscript. The area would be mapped at a scale of one inch to 200 feet with a 5 foot contour interval. Final Map Presentation The final maps will be layed out on section sheets with the City of Tukwila title block. These sheets will be photo mechanically reproduced from the scribe coats prepared by our drafting department. If you have made any changes due to new development on the 1974 mapping manuscripts we prepared for you in sections 10, 15, 22, 27 or 34 we should get these manu- scripts from you so that they can be added on to the scribe coat this year. Therefore, they will be on the new manuscripts. Time Frame Once the aerial photography has been taken it should take approximately six weeks to bring this project to completion. One set of contact prints from the original photography. 2. One series of maps at a scale of one inch to 200 feet with five foot contours. Fee Schedule Aerial Photography 290.00 Ground Control Survey 500.00 Mapping 6,925.00 Scribing 3,830.00 Graphics 455.00 TOTAL $12,000.00 The Owner /Design Planner agrees to limit the Photo grammetrist's errors, omissions, and negligent acts, not to exceed the total fee between the Owner /Design Planner and the Photogrammetrist.
