HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0507 - Intent to Create LID #28 (Local Improvement District)CITY OF TUKWILA as follows: WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO 507 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PART OF THE CITY BY IMPROVING PORTIONS OF SOUTH 152ND STREET AND 57TH AVENUE SOUTH BY ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY, GRADING, WIDENING AND PAVING THE STREET SURFACE, INSTALLING SIDEWALKS, CURBS AND GUTTERS, INSTALLING STORM DRAINAGE, STORM SEWERS AND SANITARY SEWERS, WATER FACILITIES, UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND STREET ILLUMINATION AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND EXPENSE OF CARRYING OUT SUCH IMPROVEMENTS AGAINST THE PROPERTY SPECIALLY BENEFITTED THEREBY AND NOTIFYING ALL PER- SONS WHO DESIRE TO OBJECT TO THE PROJECT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON January 5, 1976. BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Tukwila Section 1. It is the intention of the Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, to order the improvement of portions of South 152nd Street and 57th Avenue South within the City of Tukwila, Washington, described in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, by the improvements de- scribed in Exhibit B attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of the improvement is declared to be 350,000.00 which shall be borne by and be assessed against the property specially bene- fitted by said improvement, to be included in a local improvement district to be established embracing as near as may be all prop- erty specially benefitted by such improvement. Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting to be held in the council chambers in the City Hall, Tukwila, Washington, at 7:00 P.M., Pacific Daylight Time, on January 5, 1976 which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to the proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for that improvement. Section 4. URS, COMPANY, consulting engineers, are hereby authorized to proceed with engineering work required to prepare the preliminary assessment roll and to make mailings to property owners and are hereby directed to submit to the City Council, on or prior to January 5, 1976 all data and information required by law to be submitted. Said westerly 900 feet, more or less, being the centerline of a right -of -way 30 feet in width, said right -of -way being known as South 152nd Street. NEW RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR SOUTH 152nd STREET EXHIBIT B That portion of the following described property: Tracts 37 and 38, Brookvale Garden Tracts, as recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, page 47, records of King County, Washington; TOGETHER WITH the unplatted strip adjoining on the east. Lying within a 50 foot strip of land the centerline of said 50 foot strip being described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of South 152nd Street with the centerline of 57th Avenue South, from which point the centerline of 57th Avenue South bears due North; thence N 87 20'00" E, 445.00 feet to a point of curvature; thence easterly along a 200 foot radius curve to the left an arc distance of 108.21 feet to a point of reverse curvature; thence easterly along a 200 foot radius curve to the right an arc distance of 108.21 feet to a point of tangency; thence N 87 °20'00" E, 103.90 feet to the west line of Interurban Addition to Seattle, as recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, page 55, records of King County, Washington, and the terminus of this description.
