APPLICATION SUBMITTAL In order to ensure that your application is accepted for plan review, please make sure to fill out the
application completely and follow the plan submittal checklist on the reverse side of this form. Handouts are available at
the Building counter which provide more detailed information on application and plan submittal requirements.
Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review.
VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of
Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 431 -3670 prior to submitting
application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is
subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules.
BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor
licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this
permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall
expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180
days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition).
No application shall be extended more than once,

Re: Your Extension Request for Tukwila Building Permit #694-0030
A 180 day extension to the above reference building permit plan review Is hereby granted.
Rationale for granting this extension is that there has been no major code revisions adopted
since the time your permit application was received that would have any affect on your project.
Please be advised this is the only extension that will be granted for this permit application. If the
permit is not issued by January 15, 1995, Permit Application #B94-0030 will become null and
void on that date.
As you know, our plan check activity on this project has stopped, pending your resubmittai of
necessary corrections to the plans. Please take this into account and include our plan check
time into the time frame needed to get the plans reviewed and issued prior to the January 15,
1995 deadline date.

Factory Tenant Improvement Permit Requirements
Dear Ken,
To confirm our telephone conversation on Wednesday, July 27, 1994,
the Applicant, Leading Edge Earth Products, Inc., a newly formed
corporation, is unable to occupy the subject structure and commence
operations there until they are in a position to post a $250,000 bond
as required by their lease with the building owner.
Since filing the Permit application for the proposed tenant
improvements, LEEP has been involved in securing additional venture
capital investment and issuing an initial public offering of stock,
LEEP currently expects to have a $5,000,000 capital investment
available on August 26,1994. When those funds are available, their
Architects and Engineers will be authorized to proceed with the
work required to complete the corrections to the application.

In view of the foregoing, We are requesting on behalf of the
Applicant a 180 day extension of their permit application. We
understand that this extension is the maximum permitted end, if
granted, cannot be extended any further.
We are requesting the maximum extension to cover any unforeseen
developments, but we fully expect to have completed and submitted
the corrections by the end of September, 1994.
Once the Applicant's capital investment is in place, they will be
anxious to occupy the structure, complete tenant improvements and
equipment installation, and begin production as soon as possible.

After an initial review of the subject improvements, it has been
determined that basic requirements for sanitation and ventilation
have not been addressed. Please provide additional information
and revisions for the following concerns.
1. Demonstrate the minimum rest rooms requirements for each sex
as described in U.B.C. Section 510, include the number of
water closets required for this building use per U.P.C.
Appendix C. Additionally show how the accessible design
standards are met for WAC 51-20.
2. References how all newly developed rooms will be provided
with the minimum mechanical ventilation criteria of WAC 51-
13 -304 . ( note; Any mechanical will require a separate
mechanical permit. )
