RESOLUTION NO. 557
A RESOLUTION OF THE TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL APPROVING A THREE
YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND ONE YEAR PROGRAM REQUIRED
FOR PARTICIPATION WITH KING COUNTY IN APPLYING FOR FUNDS PURSUANT
TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS, by Resolution 470 adopted 20 January 1975, the City of Tukwila
did agree to be a joint participant with King County in the application for 1975
funds pursuant to the Community Development Act of 1974, and;
WHEREAS, the Tukwila City Council at a regular meeting conducted November
3, 1975, formally agreed to be a joint participant with King County in the applica-
tion for 1976 funds pursuant to the Community Development Act of 1974, and;
WHEREAS, both actions further requested King County withhold allocation of
funds for the respective program year until such time as the required three year Com-
munity Development Plan and one year Program was adopted by the City of Tukwila, and;
WHEREAS, the Tukwila Planning Commission during a public meeting conducted
26 August 1976 did recommend and forward to the Tukwila City Council for its consid-
eration and approval a three year Community Development Plan and one year Community
Development Program for the program year 1977, as required by said Act, and;
WHEREAS, a Housing Assistance Plan, as required by said Act, will be
prepared by King County for the geographical area within the City of Tukwila, con-
sistent with the "Technical Data for Assisted Housing" contained in the Appendix
of the three year Community Development Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Tukwila, as follows:
Section 1. The Tukwila City Council hereby approves the three year
Community Development Plan and the one year Community Development Program (program
year 1977) and authorizes said Plan and Program to be sent to King County for in-
clusion in the Community Development Act of 1974 joint application to the Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development.
