HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0561 - Community Development Block Grant Priorities (CDBG)CITY OF TUKWILA WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 561 A RESOLUTION OF THE TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL STATING THE CITY'S PRIORITIES AS IT RELATES TO HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS PURSUANT TO THE HOUSING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 557 adopted October 20, 1976, the City of Tukwila did adopt a three year Community Development Plan and a one year Program for participation with King County in applying for funds pursuant to the Housing Community Development Act of 1974, and; WHEREAS, the Tukwila City Council has authorized a joint application with King County for a Community Development Grant application to improve an existing facility primarily for the use of senior citizens, and; WHEREAS, the Joint Policy Committee responsible for administration of Housing Community Development Block Grant Funds requires that Housing Community Development projects funded by other than population allocations be prioritized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The priorities of the Tukwila City Council as it relates to projects applied for under the Housing Community Development Act of 1974 are as follows: Walkway Improvements (Population Monies) Interurban Avenue Design Study (Population Monies) Priority #1. Thorndyke Senior Activity Center (Joint Application) PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, At a regular meeting thereof this 15th day of November 1976. Edgar D.
