RESOLUTION NO. 573
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA RELATED TO PARKLAND ACQUISITION, AUTHOR-
IZING THE MAYOR TO HAVE A SPECIFIC PARCEL OF
PROPERTY APPRAISED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila has approved a
"Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan" for the urban area which identifies
a neighborhood park in the central portion of the City as number four priority, and;
WHEREAS, all higher priority projects have been investigated and
implemented to the greatest extent possible at the present time, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tukwila considers it in the
best public interest to acquire a neighborhood park in the central part of the
City generally located adjacent to the southwest corner of the Tukwila Elementary
School grounds and north of the South 152nd Street right -of -way.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Mayor be authorized to have an appraisal made of
the property following Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation guidelines,
using the services of Shorett Riely and enter into any necessary contract to
achieve the same.
Section 2. That the appraisal be paid for out of the Land Acquisition
and Building Development Fund.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting this 21st day of March 1977
