RESOLUTION NO. 606
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZ:[NG THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AUTOMATIC
RESPONSE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF KENT.
WHEREAS, in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare
of the citizens of the Cities of Kent and Tukwila a Mutual Aid Agreement
is desirable, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Departments of both Cities have agreed to
respond with fire fighting equipment and personnel within the boundaries
of the adjacent City;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington,
does resolve as follows:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Automatic
Response Agreement with the City of Kent. A copy of
said agreement is attached hereto and incorporated by
reference.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKIWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof, this 21st day of November 1977.

Outside the Fire Department Boundaries.)
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fire Department of City of Tukwila. Washington
shall be permitted to respond with fire fighting
equipment for mutual aid response within other Fire Districts of Cities where
there is a signed Mutual Aid Agreement, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that,
and
automatic response when a structural fire•alarm is received by either Fire
Department in an area of Southerly part of Tukwila, as described,
and Northerly part of Kent, as described where distance, and /or
size and value of the structure, or in case of subsequent alarms, is a factor
determining the need for the additional equipment response, which shall be
mutually determined by the Chief Officers of the Departments,
This contract shall be binding upon both parties for a period of one
year and shall be automatically renewed for a similar term. This contract may
be terminated by either party only by giving written notice to the other party
and the Washington Surveying and Rating Bureau not less than 30 Days
prior to the anniversary date of this contract.
