RESOLUTION NO. 611
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA TRANSFERING CERTAIN COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT SOME MONIES FROM AN APPROVED TRAILS DEVEL-
OPMENT PROJECT TO UNDERGROUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR LOW AND MODERATE
INCOME PERSONS.

WHEREAS, monies have been approved for a trails program as identified as
Housing and Community Project CD- 510 -77, and;
WHEREAS, said project was approved by Tukwila Resolution Number 557, 561
and 580 to the amount of $23,569 ($1,569 of which was an addition of unallocated
funds), and;
WHEREAS, the objectives of the trails program can be accomplished with a
lesser budget, and;
WHEREAS, an urgent need exists for the City to provide undergrounding
assistance to persons of low and moderate income, and;
WHEREAS, monies can be transferred administratively from one project to
another if the amount is less than 25% of the total, and;
maximum.
WHEREAS, the transfer contained herein will be 10.6 well below the 25%
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila
as follows:
Section 1. That $2,500 be transferred from the $23,569 -rails grant, as
approved for the 1977 program year, to undergrounding assistance for the purpose of
giving financial assistance to persons of low and moderate income when required to
connect to underground utility facilities. The revision results in the following
allocations:
1. Walkway Improvements $21,069
2. Undergrounding Assistance 2,500
TOTAL $23,569
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to make application for reallocation
of monies as shown above for the 1977 program year.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 16th day of January 1978
